Rick Kipp has extensive gardening knowledge having grown up on a working family farm in Appleton, Wisconsin. He has been a member of Maine Organic Flowers and Garden Association (MOFGA) for 25 years, 10 years as a staff member where he attended most lectures as well as farm to farm conferences and 15 years as a volunteer. Rick presented frequent lectures on” How to” projects and is a trained US Navy instructor. Presently Rick has two acres of berries under cultivation where he grows organic strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. He also raises organic garlic and winter squash. Projects this summer include a 20x40 kitchen garden for farm to table produce, oversight of the landscaping for five new duplexes presently under construction as well as continuing to enhance the grounds by expanding the flower beds. He is partnering with the Bath Garden Club and the Master Gardener program through the University of Maine Extension.
Sandy Coombs, CRMA
Sandy grew up and attended schools in Bath graduating from Morse High School. Sandy has worked if the healthcare field for 16 years. She has worked at the Plant Memorial Home for eight primarily in the Nursing Department. She also worked in food service.
Linda has worked at the Plant Home since December, 2014. Her bookkeeping and administrative experience spans many years including work in private schools, for Certified Public Accountants and in her own bookkeeping business working with small businesses. Linda earned her Associates Degree in Liberal Studies from University of Maine and lives with her husband, Jon, in Bath.
