The Plant Memorial Home is pleased to make space available to your organization as part of the community.
Your donation is greatly appreciated.
Below are the guidelines for your organization’s space usage.
- Your contact person at PMH is Kayla Barr. She is onsite in her office Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm. Her contact phone number is (207) 443-2244. If you need to contact her after hours, please get in touch with her by phone.
- Your organization may arrive 30 minutes before your event time to set up.
- We would ask that all members, guests, and visitors of your organization exit the building and property no more than 30 minutes after the scheduled time ends.
- Please refrain from parking in parking spots designated for residents.
- PMH cannot accommodate storing any of your items before or after your event.
- All items needed for your event must be provided and brought in by your organization.
- All items brought in by your organization must be removed after the event.
- PMH will provide trash receptacles and trash bags for your event.
- You are responsible for cleaning up after your organization and leaving the space as you found it. You must remove all trash and place it in the dumpster on the north side of the parking area.
- Your organization is welcome to use our tables and chairs. Please take note of their arrangements before organizing them to fit your event, and place them back in that arrangement after your event ends.
- You will be shown where guest restrooms are available for your group.
- For the sake of the privacy of our staff and residents, we ask that members of your organization, guests, and visitors not go into other areas of the building or property without permission or an escort from PMH.
- For your spot to be reserved, we must receive the signed Agreement and Donation one week before your scheduled event.
- PMH is a smoke-free campus.
- If alcohol is served at your event, your organization assumes the responsibility for its responsible use and distribution.
- To the extent permitted by Maine law, User shall release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless PMH, its affiliates and subsidiaries, and directors, officers, employees (collectively “Indemnified Party”) against any bodily injury, property damage or personal and advertising injury loss, damage, claim, suit, liability, judgment, and expense (including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, and other costs of litigation), and any lines, penalties, or assessments, arising out of injury, disease or death of persons or damage to or loss of any property or violation of the applicable law but only when caused by or arising out of the acts or omissions of the User, or anyone for whom the User is directly or indirectly responsible during the use of our facilities.
- In case of fire or emergency, exit the building, dial 911, and then contact Kayla Barr at 207-443-2244. Please be respectful to the responding emergency professionals and stay out of their way. Your group may gather on the lawn or in the North End Parking lot while emergency professionals clear the building.
- For safety reasons, it is not recommended that anyone from your organization, guests, or visitors stand within 20 feet of the water’s edge.
Donation checks should be made payable to PMH with the word “donation” in the memo portion of the check.
